We are constantly trying to find organizations who are making impacts in the communities that connect with us, and incorporate them into our work.

Who:

ManifestWorks connects those impacted by foster care, homelessness and incarceration with job opportunities in Hollywood and provides ongoing life and professional skills to support long-term success.

What:

We have committed to hiring individuals from Manifest Works on all of our projects that go to production and thus far have staffed at least two PAs on every project we have shot.

Who:

InsideOUT Writers is dedicated to reducing recidivism by providing services to young people navigating juvenile detention and life after incarceration. Using creative writing as a catalyst for personal expression and transformation, we strive to empower our writers with the confidence and skill set to successfully re-integrate into our communities and become powerful advocates for themselves.

What:

In partnership with Lemonade Media, Black Bar Mitzvah, and InsideOUT Writers, the Written Off podcast was released in 2021, hosted by Walter Thompson Hernandez. Walter interviewed formerly incarcerated young adults about creative writing pieces they wrote and the process they used to develop them. Notable guests such as Issa Rae, John Legend, Jay Ellis, Julio Torres guest starred to read the writings.

Who:

The Wounded Warrior Project is dedicated to supporting veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound while serving in the military on or after September 11, 2001.

What:

Jay teamed up to host a video game tournament with Verizon to help veterans strengthen connections with their families and each other with the winning team getting $100k.

Who:

In partnership with Warner Media, 150 endeavors to disrupt the way content is developed in our industry by offering grants to projects and stories that support new perspectives.

What:

Part live event and part TV series, The 5×5 directed by Kristian Mercado, produced by Black Bar Mitzvah and funded by Warner 150, gives 5 emerging creators 5 minutes to tell their story via multi-media in order to expose the world to new voices who will reshape story telling.

Something Lost, Something Found is a collection of short stories told by 3 incarcerated minors and 3 formerly incarcerated adults that have been turned into animated shorts from diverse artists. It was produced by Black Bar Mitzvah and funded by Warner 150.
